A baby “with layers”!

For friends I created this birth announcement for their daughter; with a mint colored background and sturdy (but pink :-) letters for what will no doubt be a tough girl

To achieve the desired effect I created the letters four times so they can be layered on top of each other (dotted shade, solid pink, white stripes and brown outline). Because each layers is drawn by hand individually no two letters are exactly the same.

At the request of the parents-to-be I combined the handdrawn letters with a number of illustrations of owls.
