Long live the King!

A quick sketch in celebration of King’s Day.

Like the signs that thousands of people are making for the flea markets around the country, this one is done by hand in one go with a broad marker. If you look closely you can see the pencil lines used for guides, and where the marker has touched the paper more than once the strokes are darker. I liked the flea market look and decided not to clean up the lettering any further. Color and texture are added digitally.
